FAQ:

What is a Professional Organizer?
Professional Organizers support and teach clients organizing principles in effort to simplify their lives. They determine appropriate organizing systems and teach skills to assist clients with their living and working space, their time and their documents. Professional Organizers provide a wide range of services and expertise. For more information about Professional Organizers, please visit www.napo.net.

What can I expect during my initial assessment?
The initial assessment is an information gathering meeting to assess your project and to learn more about you. During our initial assessment we will establish goals, identify obstacles, discuss roles in the organizing process, determine budget, evaluate current resources and address expectations. We will also decide how to proceed and discuss a plan of action.

Do I need to be present during an organizing session?
In effort to achieve long-term results, Organize A La Mode requires our clients to not only be present but actively participate in the organizing process. Valuable organizing principles are taught throughout the session to assist our clients with their continued success.

What items should I purchase prior to our meeting?
We do not recommend purchasing any supplies or organizing tools prior to your organizing session. The purpose of hiring a Professional Organizer is clear out the unnecessary items in the home in effort to simplify living. Many times we discover hidden storage solutions upon organizing, eliminating the need to purchase additional items. Occasionally, clients may need to purchase tools or storage solutions to gain the most from their space or match their style. We will identify proper storage, develop a budget, provide resources and schedule a follow-up session to make use of the solutions.

What can I expect during an organizing session?
While each project is unique, typically, our clients can expect to block out at least three hours of uninterrupted time to dedicate to our organizing session. We will discuss the desired outcome and a plan of action. With your permission, we will take before photos. Next, we will begin the hands-on organizing process which you can expect to actively participate with each step. Finally, and again with your permission, we will conclude by taking after photos and scheduling a follow up plan to help you maintain organization.

What are your fees?
